Democracy Is at Risk, But There’s Still Hope

I know many of us are feeling a deep sense of heartbreak after this election. The results were not what we hoped for, and it’s hard to process the weight of that loss. We’re grieving what could have been, and it’s okay to sit with that for a moment. But amidst the disappointment, we also have some bright spots to celebrate.

Tammy Baldwin has secured another term in the Senate, and Jodi Habush Sinykin has achieved an incredible victory, flipping a long-held Republican seat. This is monumental for the Senate, and it’s a testament to the work we all put in. These wins give us hope and remind us of what’s still possible.

To everyone who poured their hearts into this election—thank you. You made calls, knocked on doors, and mobilized voters. You did everything brilliantly, and I want you to know that your efforts mattered. This election wasn’t lost because of the ground game. A strong Get Out the Vote effort can only move the needle so much, and you all did that. The outcome was bigger than that.

Let’s hold onto those victories as we find our way forward. We’ll regroup, and we’ll keep fighting for the future we believe in.
