Last night, the Menomonee Falls School Board voted to restore previously removed sections of the English Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum — and approved updated K–12 Science Standards.
The restored materials include:
- High School Social Studies: 21st Century Studies
- Middle School Social Studies: World Civilizations
- 6th Grade ELA Unit 1: “Growing Up”
The updated Science Standards support comprehensive, evidence-based science instruction, including the teaching of evolution in science classrooms.
This progress happened because YOU keep showing up.
You attend meetings. You share your perspectives. You ask questions. You talk with your neighbors and friends. You contact decision-makers. You stay engaged. You vote.
Your voice matters. Your participation matters. You make a difference.
Educators deserve to be trusted. Students deserve access to rich, meaningful learning opportunities.
Communities deserve transparency and a voice in the decisions that shape our schools.
Last night was a reminder that when people participate in their democracy, positive change is possible.
This is progress. And we’re not done yet.
Thank you for being part of this work.
