Last night, the Menomonee Falls School Board met to begin the process of filling the seat vacated by Nina Christensen’s resignation. The board will now move forward with candidate interviews tonight, Wednesday, October 29 at 7 PM, at the Community Education & Recreation Center, Room 102A&B (W152N8645 Margaret Road).
Among the applicants is Shelley Holzman, a former board member and member of WISRED, a group known for their close political alignment and lack of transparency in school-related decisions. Holzman chose not to seek re-election in 2025 but is now seeking to return to the board through appointment rather than through the voters.
This raises legitimate concerns about the fairness and openness of the selection process. The public deserves confidence that the next School Board member will represent all families, not partisan interests or political networks.
Our Grassroots Menomonee Falls community believes that accountability begins with showing up. When we attend, observe, and speak out, we help ensure that our schools remain a place where every voice matters and every decision is made in the open.
Call to Action:
Join us tomorrow night at 7 PM and stand for transparency, fairness, and responsible leadership in our schools. Let’s make sure the board knows the community is watching — and that we expect the process to reflect the values of honesty, equity, and public trust.
Your presence matters. Together, we can help keep our district accountable to the people it serves.
