No Kings 10-18

No Kings Protests Return on October 18

President Trump Continues Authoritarian Actions and Power Grabs; Thousands of Actions Planned Nationwide

Milwaukee, WI – In just 3 days, on October 18, local residents from across the Milwaukee area will join millions of Americans in a nationwide day of peaceful protest for the second No Kings Day of Action. With thousands of events planned nationwide, communities will once again rise up to declare: In America, we have no kings.

The Milwaukee No Kings event will take place at Cathedral Square Park from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Entertainment on the main stage will begin at 11:00 a.m., featuring Wave Chapelle and dak duBois. Speakers will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a march beginning around 12:45 p.m. The march will loop through downtown Milwaukee and return to Cathedral Square Park. The event and march are expected to conclude by 2:00 p.m.

“Saying no to kings is the most American thing we can do,” said Ben Dombrowski, an organizer of the No Kings Milwaukee Area Coalition. “In the land of the free, Trump pretends he is a king and acts as a cruel one. The corruption must end. On the 18th, the people of Milwaukee will exercise our rights to peacefully gather, speak, and march in protest of modern kings.”

On June 14, more than five million people across all 50 states joined the first No Kings Day in what became the largest single-day protest yet against President Trump’s authoritarianism.“No Kings” stands against government overreach that threatens civil rights and liberties. Under Donald Trump, we’ve seen attempts to weaponize the Department of Justice, attack the right to protest and a free press, restrict reproductive freedom, and target immigrants and LGBTQ+ people. The movement demands accountability and a renewed commitment to equality, justice, and the rule of law.

The October 18 mobilization is the next step in that growing movement, channeling the same energy and urgency into another coordinated, peaceful, and powerful nationwide action.

No Kings organizers are proud to stand alongside a broad coalition of national and local partners, including the Greater Milwaukee Coalition, ACLU, MAARPR, Indivisible, American Federation of Teachers, Common Defense, 50501, Human Rights Campaign, League of Conservation Voters, MoveOn, National Nurses United, Public Citizen, and SEIU, among others.

All No Kings events are grounded in a shared commitment to nonviolent protest, community safety, and de-escalation. Organizers have received training to ensure peaceful participation and are coordinating closely with local partners to create safe, inclusive spaces for civic expression across the country.
